About Leukemia

Leukemia describes a condition where a patient suffers from abnormal production of blood cells, resulting in high numbers of white blood cells. The symptoms of leukemia include, amongst others, fatigue (also known as cancer fatigue), increased risk of infections, fever and bleeding. It is one of the most common childhood cancers but it can also happen to adults. Men are slightly more probably to develop leukemia than women.
